The Novoflex ASTAT-NEX Collar Mount with Arca-Type Foot for Select Novoflex Lens Adapters fits around a Novoflex lens adapter, in order to provide support for a heavy lens and adapter as they're attached to a smaller camera body. The mounting ring on the lens collar accommodates Canon EOS-M, Sony NEX, and Leica R lens to Leica M camera adapters. The secondary insert ring fits onto a Sony E-mount adapter.
The tripod collar features both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for attaching to a tripod head, and the Arca-compatible bottom allows the collar to be clamped securely by most Arca-Swiss-compatible quick-release mechanisms. The collar features a textured knob for tightening the ring around the lens adapter. To execute quick changes between horizontal and vertical orientation, just loosen the knob and rotate the NEX adapter and camera body—the adapter is able to turn a full 360° within the collar.
